江天一色遠煙輕
River and sky as one, distant mist
孤舟微動水無聲
A lone boat drifts silently
誰家燈火依山晚
Whose lights glow by the mountain
半入秋雲半入星
Half in clouds, half among stars
風過長橋花影碎
Wind scatters flower shadows on the bridge
月臨寒渚夜初明
Moonlight falls on the cold shore
人間多少行旅客
So many travelers in this world
皆向浮生問歸程
All asking life where home lies
月下聽風人未眠
Beneath the moon, I remain awake, hearing the wind.
一聲簫起落長天
A flute echoes across the sky
古今心事隨流水
Past and present drift away like flowing water,
只與清光共萬年
Eternity, shared only with the clear light.

The Milky Way flows like wine into the strings of the zither.
若問此身何處去
If asked where this self is going,
一葉隨雲過遠川
I am but a leaf drifting with the clouds across distant rivers.
風靜
The wind falls still.
月明
The moon shines bright
天地無言
Heaven and earth fall silent
