    The Durability

    Man-made, silk or human-hair eyelash extensions strips can only be worn once for hygienic and visual reasons. Indeed, they may commence to release hazardous and potentially carcinogenic chemicals after the first use, plus they do not supply the same fresh look once removed and re-worn.

    Mink fur lashes can be re-worn up to 25 to 30 times, if properly looked after (keep an eye for another blog post how to look after your lashes)! You will always be satisfied with the same fresh look whether it’s your first use of the remove or the 25th! Also, they do not release hazardous and potentially carcinogenic chemicals since they are not synthetically produced.

    The Price

    One couple of man made, silk or human-hair eyelash strips comes between $6 and $10 Canadian dollars and can only just be worn once as aforementioned. The price tag on one couple of mink hair lashes is about $30 Canadian us dollars in our online boutique but can be re-used between 25 to 30 times.     Cruelty-free?

    Mink fur is obtained by gently brushing live minks during mink shedding months in Siberia, Russia. Minks aren’t hurt through the process nor are they maltreated during the remaining time as they are in free-range farms. We must keep in mind that the best possible quality fur comes from cared for and well fed minks in a good environment, which gives additional reasons to believe that farmers comply with minks’ dietary requirements and governmental/agricultural regulations regarding humane care.

    Eco-friendly

    Not only is it cruelty-free, mink fur lashes are also eco-friendly! Unlike synthetic, silk or faux mink hair alternatives, authentic mink hair do not require petroleum-based materials in their production, such as dye and other chemicals. Indeed, mink fur lashes are made of authentic mink hair which is a green and biodegradable reference.

    Also, minks’ diet is primarily composed of expired produce and inedible animal by-products, which helps maintaining the beneficial green recycling cycle which is essential to your ecosystem.
